Your website relies on WordPress, a theme and plugins to function properly. These are reviewed and updated regularly to keep everything running smoothly and reduce the risk of issues.

Weekly Cloud Back-ups

Your website is backed up weekly to a secure external location. This sits outside of your hosting environment and ensures there’s always a safe restore point if needed.

Security Scanning

Your site is monitored and scanned for potential security issues or malware, helping to catch problems early rather than after something goes wrong.

Uptime Monitoring

Your website is monitored around the clock. If it goes offline for any reason, we’ll be alerted straight away and can investigate.

Website Updates & Support Time

You can use your monthly support time for small content updates, tweaks, fixes or general help related to your website.

For every active care plan, one tree is planted each month via Tree-Nation – a small, ongoing contribution to regeneration.

Questions & Answers

Do I need to be on a care plan to get ad-hoc support?

Yes. Ongoing support and edits are only available to clients on an active Website Care Plan. Care plans are offered exclusively to clients whose websites were built by us.

If you need more substantial updates that go beyond the monthly support time, that’s absolutely possible. In those cases, we’ll assess the scope, provide an estimated timeframe and quote a separate fee for the work before anything begins.

Does any unused support time get carried over to the next month?
No. Support time resets each month and doesn’t carry over.
What happens if my website gets hacked or goes down?

The care plan is designed to reduce the likelihood of issues. If something unexpected does happen, we’ll step in and support you in getting things resolved as quickly as possible.

How does billing work?
Payments are taken monthly via Stripe as a recurring subscription.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts.

To cancel, simply email uta@carrotandkarma.com before your next billing date and the subscription will be stopped.

How do I get started with a website maintenance package?
Website Care Plans are available only to existing clients whose website we’ve built. If that’s you, just get in touch and we’ll take it from there.
